Education

Original Equipment (OEM) manufacturers do not have two production lines, one of high quality and one of lower quality; they supply the same quality to everyone. Furthermore these companies will also supply independent parts wholesalers. These parts are exactly the same in specification as those supplied to Land Rover. The only difference is that one comes in a box with Car brand logo and another in the component manufacturer's or plain box. These items naturally do not come with a car manufacturer warranty but are covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty which may vary between manufacturers.

Buying Original Equipment parts from an independent dealer which buys direct from the manufacturer is an economical way of obtaining the best quality part for you, reducing the profit-making links in the supply chain. Such dealers use the original part number sourced through the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to ensure that you have the correct part for your vehicle.

Pattern or aftermarket replacement part manufacturers have developed a thriving business because, for some components, there are such a high demand particularly those parts needed by older vehicles. These replacement parts can be separated into “Good Quality” replacement spares and “Poor Quality” replacement spare parts. This is the area where it becomes very difficult for the vehicle owner who is often forced to buy parts because the vehicle is worn out in some way and needs the parts if it is to continue to work safely. Under these circumstances it is not surprising that many customers will shop around for the cheapest part.

“Good Quality” replacement parts are usually manufactured by companies that supply other vehicle manufacturers with similar products, so they use their production line to produce parts which fit into the vehicles. It is unlikely that such parts would be manufactured to a lower specification than is normally produced by the supplier when supplying BMW for example so such replacement parts can be considered as “Good Quality”. Klimex Enterprises have been supplying replacement parts for Japanese and European car models for many years; we only source good quality replacement.

It is in the area of “Poor Quality” replacement spare parts that the vehicle owner has to be very careful. Typically such spares are made from inferior materials, or they do not have the same manufacturing tolerances as other parts. These parts are often manufactured in areas of the world where labor is cheap.

Too often, owners of older vehicle not willing to pay for the prices charged by car manufacturer or indeed OE manufacturers, so they opt to buy "Poor Quality" Pattern or Aftermarket parts. Unfortunately in many cases the use of such spares is extremely dangerous, particularly for safety related parts. Also, in many cases now, fake parts are being sold as “imitations” of well-known brands. In some parts of the developing world there is often no such thing as regular vehicle testing and copyright laws often don't exist, so there really is no control over the supply of such parts. How do you, the owner, identify such parts? How can you be sure that you are buying parts which are not of inferior quality, or even fakes?

One way is to look carefully at the supply chain information given by the supplier. Klimex Enterprises only sources parts direct from reputable parts suppliers, many of whom have car manufacturers’ accreditation and can supply Genuine, Original Equipment and Good Quality Replacement Parts. Many of these suppliers provide their own warranty. Retailers who provide warranties on parts could not afford to if the parts they supplied were of inferior quality

Used or reclaimed parts are traditionally sourced from local vehicle dismantlers or ‘chop shops’. The 'donor' vehicles are vehicles that have reached the end of their useful life, are beyond economical repair after an accident, or are imported as ‘half cuts’ from overseas markets. It is a market of supply and demand; parts for Proton, Toyota and other makes common in Malaysia are readily available and cheap.

Ultimately, you need to decide which part is best for your vehicle; our recommendation is always that if an OEM or good quality replacement part is available then this offers the most economical way of maintaining your vehicle in good working condition. We hope this information will help you to make the right choice but if you need any further information please do not hesitate to ask.

Car air condition compressor

The compressor is a major component in the A/C system and it functions like the heart of the man. It is operated by force from the engine of the car and it repeats the process of inhaling, compressing and circulating the refrigerant. It compresses the refrigerant into a low-pressure gas, turns it into a high pressure gas by raising its temperature and sends it to the condenser for the release of heat to the surroundings. In Klimex we provide wide variety of compressor to meet the needs of the needs of the current market.

Car air condition condenser

The condenser functions as a heat exchanger. It releases heat into the air passing through its fins. The refrigerant system releases heat energy with a condenser and receives heat energy with the evaporator. The condenser receives high temperature high pressure vapor from the compressor and converts it to high pressure liquid through the process of condensation. Here in Klimex we started as condenser specialize and throughout the years we had compile more than 1000 different model to make sure we have supply for the market demand.

Car air condition evaporator

Evaporators are usually made of aluminum. Evaporators consist of a series of internal tubes or “flow paths” with fins attached to them. Air can pass freely through the fins where the internal tubes carry moving engine coolant, the passages in the evaporator carry moving refrigerant. In Klimex we have more than 1000 different type of evaporator for all type of vehicles.

Car cabin filter

The cabin air filter, a feature found on most late-model vehicles, cleans the air that comes into the interior through the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system. It catches dust, pollen and other airborne material that can make riding in a car unpleasant, particularly if you have allergies or other respiratory problems. Here in Klimex we provide quality cabin filter either with or without carbon to comply with the needs of local market

Car air conditioner valve

An expansion valve is a component in refrigeration and air conditioning systems that control the amount of refrigerant flow into the evaporator thereby controlling the superheating at the outlet of the evaporator. Thermal expansion valves are often referred to generically as "metering devices". Here in Klimex we understand the importance of valve that why we determine to bring in high quality valve to minimize problem that might occur.

Car air conditioner drier

The receiver-drier’s primary function is to receive and store some liquid refrigerant from the condenser. The liquid refrigerant enters at the top of the receiver and falls to the bottom. A pickup tube with a filter screen extends to the bottom of the receiver-drier. This pickup tube draws liquid refrigerant from the bottom of the receiver-drier. The liquid refrigerant then passes on to the inlet of the thermostatic expansion valve. Klimex hereby provide a number of choices to different type of needs.

Blower motor

The blower motor ensures an air flow from outside to inside the cabin or air circulation within the cabin if recycling function is on. It is located in the HVAC module between the cabin air filter and the evaporator. In Klimex we provide blower motor for most of the vehicle seen on the street.

Pressure switch

A pressure switch is used to detect the pressure drop when the refrigerant leaks from the system and turns off the magnetic clutch of the compressor. This is installed in the liquid pipe line in the cooling unit. Pressure Switches are small but critical devices as it prevents compressor seizures in a refrigerant leakage situation.

Fan assy

The radiator motor and fan shroud are at the upper or low side of the airflow in the radiator and condenser. It is comprises of a single (or double) electric motor that operates the fan, a shroud (usually plastic) that fixes the motor and protects the fan and other speed control parts.

Temperature sensor

A thermostat or thermistor is a temperature sensor that is installed in front of the evaporator to sense the temperature of the air discharged from the evaporator. The thermistor transforms the changes of temperature into changes of resistance (voltage). When the voltage of the thermistor increases and reaches the specified voltage, the amplifier makes the magnetic clutch turn off to prevent the evaporator from frosting.

Relay

Relays are used in the A/C system as control points to regulate the current flow between A/C component, namely the blower motors and the magnetic clutches. By using this relay, the current that flows though the key switch will be greatly reduced as only a small amount of current is required to actuate the relay.

Blower Regulator

Blower regulators or cooling regulators are used to control the speed of the interior blower unit. This is done by varying the speed of the resistance values.
